Coffee... Glorious Coffee

"I love coffee because coffee has caffeine and caffeine gives me hope."
Mary Mack (comedian)

Did you know that Yale University did a study that showed:

  1. People judge others to be more generous and caring while holding a cup of coffee.
  2. People are more likely to give something to someone drinking coffee and more likely to take something for themselves if they are holding something cold.
  3. Drinking Coffee can make us see others as warmer people, and can cause us to be warmer, more generous, and trusting.

'Tis true! I've heard about these kinds of studies. You also will tend to walk slower if you have just heard a bunch of words about the elderly (geriatrics, feeble, nursing home, etc.) than a bunch of words about young people (quick, teenager, youthful, etc.). Interesting how the mind can be primed subconsciously to react to such cues :)

It's VERY interesting for sure

My question: Does that mean that holding a cold liquid will make you act more coldly towards someone?
